It Uploaded! New original song, 'There's Still Time'...

Kath

True Wub
Finally, after 4 times trying to upload it, (the first two times it came out distorted) I finally got my new song uploaded! It's called 'There's Still Time". It's about how as you get older families sometimes drift apart. I would love to know what you guys think! Was it worth all that hassle to upload it? I hope so!! Let me know guys! Thanks!

Watched it and commented.

Overall a pretty nice composition, some things need tweaking though, like the guitar was much higher in the mix than was needed and the strings were not high enough in the mix... that could be like you wanted it and then kudos hehe
The video itself was very clipped (skipped frames, lag etc)...

Overall a nice song, just needs a bit more L.O.V.E into the mix

Jonathan

Man if JD finds fault with that mix I don't know how he's never mentioned mine! LOL, I think it sounds fine, he's right about the guitar being too loud but don't sweat it, I LOVED it... Though I thought the heavy metal version had it's own good qualities too.

I listened to it again, and I agree, the strings could have come up a little more, for sure! I am not sure why it was lagging so bad, when it's not like that in the original! Thanks for your comment and for listening :)

Hahaha, for a second there, I didn't get what you meant ...I was like 'heavy metal version?'

Lovely voice, nice song :) The only complaint I have is that the ending didn't quite crescendo @ "There's still time" like I thought it should have. I think some background vox singing some of the earlier lower parts of the song underneath the "There's still time" would bring it to an emotional climax. That's my 2 cents, for what it's worth ;)

are you converting it to mpeg from another form before uploading? I find if I record as avi and then edit the video and save it as an mpeg for youtube upload the video goes out of synch on the youtube end however if i make my video and edit and save as the same form I recorded (avi) then upload like that youtube leave my sound in the right place. They seem to have some codec issue. Also youtube now as its default compression format is using webm you might want to try converting to that if you have software that does decent conversion. I would expect your recording and editing avi if so process the final video as the same *.avi and upload like that the sound will stay put. :)

haha I have seen this a million times and had personal experience with this "bug" it should not happen but it does so I no longer convert to their prefered mpeg before uploading and the problem went away :)

Yeah I uploaded a new video yesterday..it was shot with a digital camera instead of a webcam, and thankfully it didn't skip or lag!
