Is there a reason different partner networks seem to approach around the same time?

I found that multiple invitations I received to join partner networks came within the span of about 2 weeks, mostly about just under a month ago. Before this I had only been approached by one network and that was like over a year ago.

Is there some sort of seasonal motivation behind signing channels in March or something? Or was it just a coincidence that they were all discovering my channel at around the same time?

I just thought it was interesting and wanted to see if there was a reasoning behind this pattern.

Like Gaffer said, could just be a random coincidence. You have to remember that they are just people trying to recruit you to a network. You probably had been spotted by them one after the other. xD

Beginning of the financial year :)

So, networks do approach you and ask you to join them! I thought that was only the other way round.

I would say that they know when another network asks you.. but it's just me being suspicious!

Thanks for the feedback all :) I wouldn't be surprised if it does have to do with the new financial year though that's a really good point.[DOUBLEPOST=1366147498,1366147404][/DOUBLEPOST]

I actually started wondering this myself at one point if the recruiters like talk to each other but then I was thinking if they're all in competition with each other than wouldn't they want to keep it secret?[DOUBLEPOST=1366147673][/DOUBLEPOST]Btw regarding networks approaching channels yes it does happen its how I ever even found out networks exist :p I partnered with youtube before the april 2012 change and never realized that "change" happened until recently so I figured that was it that was all there is to it... but I was wrong :p

I work for a network and there is no perk with us for signing people up at a certain time. My guess is you started posting on here, recruiters saw you and all shot you emails. Recruiters tend to check forums to find potential Youtube channels.

I`d say it`s networks getting worried ;)
I can see that the amount of applications would start dropping when everyone is forced into getting a banner (new layout) so they may need to focus more on recruiting.

Now that I think of what else was going on around the same time, the emails came soon after I joined and posted on YTtalk. Thanks for your insider explanation! :)
