Other Is creating a Gaming Channel a Dead end?

I'm sick of only seeing gaming collabs on here and wanted to see how many of you agree that gaming is an inevitable dead end for yt.

It totally depends. You just need to be original or find a specific game or genre that isn't highly saturated and just pump out loads of high quality content. But at the end of the day no one knows if you're going to be a huge hit or failure. I don't know if this helps at all but I hope it does!

If you don't frequently upload, copy others work, have low quality content, and don't put any effort into it, it is a dead end. If you do the opposite, it time, you will become successful.

I would say a gaming channel needs to upload often. They need to play not the most popular games e.g fifa minecraft till they have a following or you won't gain subscribers. For example my fifa videos get about 12 views but my pes videos get about 50 views.

If I joined youtube only looking for popularity, money, and fame, I would do gaming because it is the easiest way to get there.

But I have a passion for animation so I don't.

It's only a few people that get rich and famous, but yeah, gaming's probably the easiest thing to do.
Keeping with animation's respectable, man, especially after YouTube's algorithms screwed over all the animators out there.

I'm glad you've heard about that. It's really hard to get attention to my channel. I mean, I 've had my channel for three years now and only 71 subs. :/

No. I'd even say that LPing will grow further in the coming years.

Yeah gaming has grown but people starting it now have no chance because of the big shots
