Improve Monetizable views percentage?

So my Monetizable views are pretty low.

I was thinking is there any chance they will improve, if I switch to another network?

The only way I can think of improving monetizable views, is to get more views thus increasing the chances of said view amount. Its not really something you can control, so just keep working on the best content you can and they should hopefully increase. Not sure a new network would help either :(

Don't muck with it. If you disable the videos on non-monetized platforms, all you're doing is lowering your viewership. Views from mobile don't hurt you, they just don't give ad revenue.

  • Examples of some non-monetized platforms: YouTube mobile website (m.youtube.com) accessed from a mobile device that is not Android or iOS (eg - Windows Mobile, Palm, Blackberry, Nokia).

As the others indicate:
There is no way to improve your monetized views directly

(changing network, video settings, etc won't change anything)

However there are several factors that go into monetization % that are good to keep in mind:

  • Content - probably the biggest one. If you are playing a PC game, people are going to be watching on PC, moreso than if you are playing a console or especially mobile game.
  • Having all your videos monetized - duh
  • Having all ad types enabled - sometimes they can't show the enabled ads for whatever reason (such as they sold out) but others might still be available.
  • encouraging viewers to use monetizable platforms --- For example if the viewer is watching on iOS, encourage them to download the iOS YouTube app (otherwise no ads).

Just leave it be. Asking viewers to turn off adblock or watchin on an youtube app instead will come off a little off. You can't control monetizable views- you can increase them by just adding more views in general. Don't turn off embedding, you don't want to leave a negative taste in someone's mouth when they tried to tune into your channel.

Thanks for your replies people :)

I don't need to increase my CPM or my amount of views really :p Both are high enough, too bad my monetizable views percentage is like 5% :(
