Im confused about what I can monitize. PLEASE HELP :(

I have had the option to monitize for a long time and have set up my adsense account and such. What I dont understand is it says you cannot have any games or music ect that you dont own, so how do people monitize gameplay videos and not get their vid taken down.

I have noticed nearly all gameplay vids I see are monitized but how when youre not aloud too? Do they just do it and not get caught or am I just being dumb

Any insight would be very welcome

If you're in a network (that owns game rights) you can use games.
Otherwise own material only. No background music, no pictures, no games on which you don't have copyright.

If you do it Google will find out with the first payment and they will block you and hold you payment.

Okay, thats weird cos iv seen people who are notpart of anything playing all these different things which are monitized, guess it'll come round and bite them in the bum

yea people do it, but its not recommended. i would just do gaming vids untill u can get into a gaming network. then you can monetize. PS: choose a good Network for the kinds of games that you do, so that way you know that they will have permission for that game.

To be honest I didnt even know about these 'networks' until you guys mentioned it. Thanks for all the info, I think me being noticed by a network would be a long way away yet, im only at 20 subs. I only have monitization because of one video with thousands of views
