I'm a partner but I have questions!

Welcome to my world.
Heeeeeeeeello, I've been studying all this time so I didnt had much time to make new videos or blahblah, (I'm taking the exams for university in one month) But I had a surprise... when I went to my youtube channel-configuration... I had options that I didn't a month ago... I am partner now, and I'm working hard, I don't even know WHY, but I will do my best I promise... (I make covers, but I thought I couldn't be partner making covers)

Well, the question is... can I upload covers? I had a copyright strike one year ago, but its sloved, my account is totally clean, I upload some vlogs, and I want to upload some gameplays, but.. can I really do that? I don't even know with who I am partner (google?) IDK.

Somebody can guide me? I am so lost... T_T!!! and.. I hope I can return to this communty >___<!!!!!!!!

AH, have you basically enabled this yourself? If so, you shouldn't monetise your videos since you are doing covers. See, everyone can be a Partner now. YouTube offers it to anyone regardless of what kind of channel they have (you get the option from day 1, so they aren't to know what you'll upload). BUT there are strict rules around who can self-monetise (as in be a 'partner' outside of a network) and who can't.

Being a partner is okay, but make sure that if the song is a cover or a remix, you don't monetise :)

I know I know, I don't monetise covers, only vlogs, or random videos, I only wanted to know if I can post covers now, because I have this account from 2006 (I think) and I have been posting covers always, I also have monetized some of my videos (they are accepted) so.. Idk. xD
