If I enable midroll or postroll ads then my videos show no ads 50% of the time?

Hi.

Most of my videos are 40-60 minutes long so I enable a midroll and post roll ads. The problem is they only seem to work on videos that get a lot of views. Worse though is that when I enable midroll and postroll ads and the videos dont have many views then it doesnt even show a preroll ad.

If I only enable preroll ads then it almost always shows a preroll but with preroll, midroll and postroll enabled 50% of the time no ads at all.

I could just not use midroll or postroll ads but videos are all so long. The average viewer might watch 5 short videos and see 5 ads in the same time they watch 1 of my videos and see only 1 ad so I try to make up for that with midroll and postrolls.

Does anyone have a solution and/or know why this happens?

Where are your viewers watching from? There might not be any ads to show from the country they live in. What's the videos' URL?

Enabling other ads should not effect pre roll ads. What country are you in? Also what network if any are you under?

I am in the UK. the majority of my viewers are from the US.

I am with Square One network although this problem existed before I joined them but as far as I am aware its Youtube's algorithms that do the ad rolls
