So I have been doing youtube since I was younger. I got demotivated and out of the grove of things so I deleted my channel and focused a bit more on things such as school and weightlifting. So here recently my friends and I have all had an idea to start this experience back up. But I thought it would be easier to grow now than it would be to grow in 2014 simply due to the maturity factor. So my question to you guys, how do I get my channel out there again in this new age of YouTube? How do I earn more views for my channel and my videos that could possibly lead to more subscribers?

I don´t want to kill your motivation but I don´t think it will easier. As a matter of fact I think it will be harder than it was in 2014 for several reasons (but that´s just my opinion) The best would be if you got back into thos game because you and your friend like making videos. That is ALWAYS the best start:)

By creating good videos is the simple answer and not even that is a gurantee for "getting your channel out there" or getting more views/subs:)

So once I start heavily making content again, other than YTTalk, is there anywhere else that I can share to, to give my channel more publicity?

Just make stuff that you want to watch yourself, stuff that you feel that you'll be proud of later down the line, don't hesitate to delay an upload due to a effect you haven't gotten "just right", and just have fun! If your having fun through the whole process, it really shows in your videos. Just make sure not to cut any corners and to enjoy it is what I am trying to say XD.

I´m new to this forum, but here are many useful guides that can help you. I try to read as many is I can as I´m starting a channel soon :) Good luck!

The main purpose of this forum is for members to learn about YouTube and learn how to grow a YouTube channel. I recommend reading through some of the tutorials and articles created by members:
http://yttalk.com/forums/youtube-tutorials-articles-resources.10/

"How to grow" questions are regularly asked at YTtalk, and since we have a sub-forum dedicated to trying to answer those questions, the individual threads asking these same questions are locked.

Many members have found a way to grow a successful channel and have shared their ideas on the forum. There isn't a known secret formula to YouTube success, but you can increase your chances of success if you are honest with yourself about your videos, research about the YouTube algorithm, look into your channel's analytics, read articles about YouTube, and analyze similar channels that have found success.

I wish you the best! :)
