I suck at confidence ~ A.K.A. My first video

Hi there!

My name's Jacob, and I'm a new budding YouTuber from London, England.
As you can tell from the train wreck I have for a username, it's about books. I like books. Also, it's supposed to be like a command you would read in a very old video game.
You know, the ones where it's literally just text on a screen and you're typing stuff like: 'Go North' and 'Pick up Sword'.

My main goal on YouTube is to become both a Let's Play-er and a vlogger. However, I'd prefer my channel to be made up of vlogs primarily. This is where I run into a bit of trouble, I'm not confident enough to vlog yet. So, I'm going to be doing commentaries/Let's Plays until I manage to get confident. It basically means you can't see me and it's a whole weight off of my shoulders.

I posted a short introductory video to my channel explaining my predicament, if you could watch it, that would help me out a great deal.

That's the video.
Anyway, I sound pretty desperate right now, so I think I should basically wrap this thing up. But before I go, I'd like to ask a question: What sort of things can I do to get the word out about my channel?

Video is looking good, like I just said in another post, INTERACTION is key. Make some connections with other small time youtubers here, comment on related videos and post video responses. Also use appropriate tags. Good luck!

I look forward to watching your content :D

I'm gonna go check out your channel right now :3 Doing Let's Plays really builds confidence - but I'm still too nervous to do collaborations with other people :p Good luck man!
