I need help with my new channel

Hello everyone, this is my first topic and I need help because there are a few things I don't understand, despite already having sought similar issues.

I opened a youtube channel and will be dedicated to PS3 gameplays, I will start next week when you get the avermedia live.

I activated my account and I have also requested the official youtube partner, to acquire functions, including those of miniature from the beginning. I activated adsense and I'm also waiting for answer.

My question is:

-Are there any disadvantage when uploading gameplays and have monetized with Adsense?

-Can I upload copyright claims gameplays of games like Call of Duty, Battlefield 3 and others with no partner?

-If my channel grows, can I go to another network, or adsense has term contract?

-Anyone know how much is the CPM from adsense?

- Wich network is the best for gamers? I've listened that Machinima it's overated, so... wich one?

Thanks YTalk!

-There alguan disadvantage when climbing videos gameplays and have monetized with Adsense? what?

'I'll have to climb copyright claims gameplays of games like Call of Duty, Battlefield 3 and others? --- look up fair use: http://yttalk.com/threads/how-anyon...without-a-network-a-lesson-in-fair-use.47720/ and don't use trailers/single player / cutscenes.

-If my channel grows, I can go to another network, or adsense has term contract? adsense is leave at any time, no lock in. I recommend staying with it for as long as you can (ideally 100k+ views per month)

-Anyone know how much is the CPM from adsense? depends on your content / audience, I'd say normally $2-3. Which is more than some networks.

- Wich network is the best for gamers? I've listened that Machinima it's overated, so... wich one? No single network is best for gamers. Depends what you want to get out of your network. Being in a network definitely is NOT required. Personally I'm in a network with primarily musicians (and a few gamers) and its great. You don't need to join a 'gaming only' network.

Not sure if you aren't a native english speaker or just used a translator, but some stuff didn't make sense...

Alguan... I think he means algun, which is spanish for any/anything. So the question should be "Are there any disadvantages when monetizing videos and gameplays and monetized with Adsense?"

The answer, sort of. Adsense is still good if you don't get into a network/recruited into a network. Its alright for somebody who is just starting out. Thing is, Adsense doesn't have any of the extra perks that networks offer such as channel branding and free advertising. So again, Adsense is good for a beginner at YouTube.

I suggest joining a small network that has low requirements (100 subs, 500+ views total, etc.) Just do some research on what networks are small like that.

All right, thanks for the translation assistance.

Q:Are there any disadvantages when monetizing videos and gameplays and monetized with Adsense?"
A: I agree with the 'sort of' but for different reasons.

AdSense has no lock in, the best revenue share possible (100%) and often very competitive CPMs.
Networks CAN have other features but don't offer any promotion/branding beyond what can be achieved with AdSense (ALL channel layouts available to network partners are available to AdSense partners currently).

Common network perks include free music libraries, support, and a community. All of these are possible outside of a network as well if you are willing to look for help/google around. You're already in a great place for support/community.

Thanks for all and sorry for the bad english.

One more question... this is the most important, I think:

- I want upload PS3 gameplays, I know there are some problems with some games and the copyright. The question is, can I upload the same games with adsense than other network? I mean... for example, with Fullscreen I can upload... The Last of Us Campaign.. with adsense can i upload the same?
And how should i know wich games can I upload?
Flammy.. for trailers/single player / cutscenes. I understand trailers, but single player and cutscenes not yet. I see a lot of walkotroughs of single player campaign in a lot of channels, what's the problem? And wich are the cutscenes?

THANKS A LOT!

It all comes down to *if* someone else out there is going to claim it. They chances are no, but not always true. If someone claims that means they make $ off of it. That is NOT the same as a strike. They can strike it if they want (which is bad) but unusual.

Monetizing with a network is the exact same as monetizing with adsense, legally speaking. However networks can negotiate on your behalf with the copyright holder to attempt to get strikes and such removed.

I would recommend looking online for the search terms "[game title] youtube monetization" & "[publisher] youtube monetization" and see if anyone else has reported any issues.

Flammy, I've read that youtube adsense pay you for click's on ads not for seeing video
Can you explain me please how many they pay by 100 views on your video? and the importants facts of adsense please

The first thing to know is being with adsense vs being with a network are nearly identical.

Secondly AdSense has multiple types of ads, and they all work a bit differently but the two main types are CPC (Cost per Click - you get paid only once someone clicks on them) and CPM (cost per 1000 impressions - you get paid per 1000 impressions).

Both of these types are shown on YouTube.

Generally revenue is summarized as a CPM or RPM - both of which mean the same thing in this context but is basically "How much the ads on the channel earn per 1000 video views." Typically this ranges from 50-70 cents if you are in a crappy network to $2-3 if you are in a moderate network to $5+ if you are in a good network.

Note that CPMs can be expressed in several ways - Before YouTube's and the Network's cute CPMs can be above $10, but the channel might only get 30%-40% of this after network cuts. The above numbers I am talking about are take home numbers for the channel - after all cuts have been taken out.[DOUBLEPOST=1372110891,1372110860][/DOUBLEPOST]
