I need A Program that will work on my computer

Okay so I have an ancient 7.5 year old laptop that is single core and has only 2gb or ram. Before you tell me to just get a new computer I'll just let you know that I did, but the parts don't arrive for 2 weeks :/. In the mean time I have about 4 to 6 videos to make and Windows Movie maker is so pain stakenly, slit my wrist and shoot myself slow. I really need a video editing program that won't constantly freeze on my laptop. Basically all I need to do is some trailer reviews, so all the program really has to be able to do is let me dub my voice over another video file. The program must also support 1080p ofcourse, and be able to snip and copy/paste video. Can anybody give me some suggestions? Free programs if possible.

Windows movie maker is very low end I don't think your gonna get a faster program than that

Yeah if your computer can't run Windows Movie maker than it won't be able to run anything else that I know of. Maybe there is an In Browser Editor that you can use.
