Fairly recently one of my videos started to get a bunch more clicks than my other ones. Not viral or anything, just more than usual so I looked at the 'Traffic Sources' of my analytics and saw something I didn't expect!
I was getting hits off of suggested videos!
When someone else's video ended YouTube suggested videos with the same key words and my video was among them. I'm surprised at how fast that happened. I only put it up a couple of days before.
I also saw probably the biggest reason to have thumbnails that stick out from the rest. Because when you see the suggested videos, you only see the thumbnail, no description, so the image has to stand on it's own.
Anyway, what about this process did you NOT expect, or wish someone told you before you started?
