How to convince Parents about letting me join FullScreen

Well today I have been accepted into FullScreen Arcade. I was very happy until I was introduced with the task of asking my parents to let me join them. I know they must make a google adsense account and sign my contract and do other things like linking up paypal's etc. having rehearsed my script on how to ask my parents. I walk downstairs to my mother and sat her down and explained to her lightly, on that fullscreen wants to pay me to make videos. My Thought: "Oh yes im about to make some serious moolah". but she said "Get a real Job". I looked at her with disbelief nd tried to explain to her that im not trying to live off this, its just a hobby on the side, but before I could get a word out she said it again. Now I must ask my father for permission to join fullscreen. but when I explain the same thing hes going to think ill grow up to be a gaming nerd. How should I convince my parents on joining fullscreen?
 
Respect your parents' decision. And don't go behind your Mom's back by asking your Dad. Pitting parents against one another never ends well.

A few bits of advice...If you're close to 18, I'd just wait it out (like if you're 17 or so) if you're younger, I'd say keep doing it as a hobby until you get a larger audience. I don't want to be a party pooper, but with 252 subs you'll be making pennies a day, which I know is exciting to begin with and that's completely understandable, but at the same time it's not a real source of income until you have much more subs.

Now, if you keep doing it as a hobby - which you said it was - then the money doesn't really matter too much since it's fun in the first place. So, I could keep doing what you're doing and if your mom said no, then respect that and like @giskw said, don't pit them against each other because you'll probably end up in trouble and you're parents could possibly fight if your dad agrees without knowing your mom's take on things.

fuckin sucks doesn't it haha my parents have set road blocks along the way as i was growing up and i overcame a lot of them!. best way to do this is have them both sit in a room and get them to look at your content as say look im already doing this and im being offered a chance to make money in it. The future is computers and the internet even best buy a major stores are suffering because the internet is the future! they will need editors and places to promote there content and i just don't want to be left behind and i love doing this. Tell them i could be a paintballer and spend 1000's of dollers on gear, i could be a band member and always scratch by, i could be anything but why not this? i love you guys but tell me what i have got to loose doing this. I am still going to get a job but we live in hard times and even if this is only pennies somethings better than nothing.
