How Does Partnership Work?

Hi Everyone!

So like the title says. How does partnership work?

Because apparently my channel is already a partner channel. But i do not have all options, like banner, earnings from views, picture annotations, subscribe banner and so on.

I can monotize with ads though.

At what stage do you gain more?

Also, i want to just be partners with YouTube/Google. Not with networks like Machinima, Fullscreen etc..

Currently everyone who can monetise views on youtube are considered "partners" although they do not have any branding features.
The disadvantages of this are if you are click bombed your account will be banned, and never be able to use adsense on your channel.. Which means that you can't partner with networks.

Google might re introduce the branding features later again.

Thanks for the reply, but what do you mean "again"? Have Google disabled branding options? Or is it only available to people who reach a certain level?

There was a massive updated that got people quite angry. When YouTube decided to not partner any more people, and not offer branding features. Yet they opened up the 'partner' programme to everyone.
So as soon as you have 1 video or so you can monetize and CONGRATS you are a 'partner'

Previously you had to apply through google to get your branding features. Now the only way you can do that, is via networks...

I tried to look it up, that if you had a certain amount of subs and views, that you would get branding features. But it does not work.
Maybe in the future.

Youtube Partnership used to be like this: you would apply to youtube and maybe get accepted and then earn revenue and gain the branding options but now they consider everyone a partner and can earn money but to get the branding options you will have to join a network

I monitized my videos. And youtube just released custom thumbnails to those who monitized and deserve them and proven that they would use the responsibly.

Does anyone else find youtube glitchy and very hard to get support for?? I mean don't they have TONS of money, why not have a customer support line...

I know what you mean, trying to email them is crazy hard.

Can not even find an email address for Google support or YouTube support. Probably have to ring.

Also when they say a video doesn't belong to you, after you spend all your time and sweat on.... I believe this will be youtube's downfall, look at myspace... Facebook took over, the content on their site is not theirs so, whats to say some new video site wont take over because of the politics of youtube...
