How do you change your phone number in your adsense account?

I have an adsense account and now after about 6 months I reached the threhold .

I have this alert on my adsense account that my earnings are on HOLD and I need to verify my account by PIN or by my phone number. I haven't received any PIN by mail and I realized that my phone number is my old number that I changed in November. I tried to figure out how to change my phone number to my new phone number and realized that it seems to be impossible.

Any ideas what I need to do?
 
I actually already asked the same question there quite a while ago but with no help whatsoever.:crying:

what I linked you to is a knowledge base article which tells you all there is to know about it, written BY YouTube people...
 
The problem is that the official way that you change your phone number doesn't work. I wondered if others here have the same problem.
