how can i tell if my monetization is set up correctly?

Hey Yall!

So my channel is super small but I applied for the youtube monetization package or whatever in case it blew up. I only have like a 100 views but I have $0.00 in earnings (figured I'd be up to a penny by now lol :thumbsup2: . (I clicked monetize video and everything within youtube). But im not sure if I need a google adsense account (I tried to apply but it said to go through youtube).

Any suggestions would be greaaaatly appreciated!

You need a Google Adsense account http://support.google.com/adsense/bin/answer.py?hl=en-GB&answer=2530958 It's also worth noting that for a channel of your size I'd say most of the ad's will be CPC ad's which means you will only get paid for clicks.
 
Yes yiu need a adsenxe account. Becareful any copyright materail can screw you up fast so make sure your not monetising gaming footage or song you dont own
 
You need an adsense, without one you won't get any money.

Hope your adsense gets approved! I think I had to wait for a week, though when I applied for my adsense that was back in 2008 or so. :D
