Having Trouble Monetising My Video

Hey,

I received an email from YouTube with the subject "More information needed to consider your video monetization request". They asked me to authorise that I have commercial use of the material in my video.

It won't let me post links here, but the video in question is the one on my channel called "The Most Ingenious Prison Escapes".

So I sent the following back to them:

I had to put asterisks in the links because the forum won't let me post them.

However a couple of days later I received another email with the subject "More visuals information needed for video monetization". Asking me to authorise that I can commercially use the visual elements in my video. But I'm at a loss as to what more information I can give to them. Do I need to provide the URL of every image in my video?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)

You're fine with the music since it's royalty free (be sure to put the link and disclaimer in every video description it's used). HOWEVER, with the images, they're not yours. Many pictures on Flickr etc are not public domain and for monetisable use. They're for non commercial viewing. You need permission from the people who took them in order to use them and earn money from them. Writing 'no infringement intended' or simply listing your source is not enough unfortunately.

Thanks for your reply, but I ONLY use images from Flickr if the author explicitly states they are licensed under Creative Commons, which means they can be used with attribution. When you view an image on Flickr it will either say "All rights reserved" or "Some rights reserved". As far as I'm aware you are free to use the images that say "Some rights reserved" for commercial work without permission.

Do you put links to all images in the description? If not that might be your problem.[DOUBLEPOST=1377642455,1377642425][/DOUBLEPOST]

Also, check that you can earn money. Creative Commons doesn't always allow for it.

Put every possible evidence you have. All links, and throw some quotes that say you have permission in there. Adsense monetization reviewing is super slow though. I have permission to monetize some videos (not the SR4 videos I was talking about in another thread, but a game that has no cutscenes and I have full permission for) and showed youtube and 1 months later, it is still under review.
