Has being partnered affected your amount of views?

So i was wondering this. Are partners really so usefull to get you in the spotlight more so you can get more views or subs? Or is it different with the partner your with?
Please provide your insight on this as I have no real clue for now :)

No. This is a fairly common expectation/misconception.

Getting partnered will not help your views or channel discovery in any significant way.

There *are* ways you can get your channel promoted when joining a network, but they will be explicitly added to the contract by you and only you. These are going to be limited to larger channels who are earning their networks respectable amounts of $$$.

This man has the answer.

Not really. My PewDiePie video got some traction, thanks to the thumbnail I was allowed to use, but those who subscribed from the video didn't stick around for long. Also, I think thumbnails are available to everyone now. Getting partnership offers no way to increase your view count.

Cool, thanks for the heads-up guys. Thought so, well doing the job yourself is always the best way anyway :-P

Contrary to what everyone is saying. It depends on what network you join, what perks they give you and how close to them you work. When I was with TGN, they asked me to host a show for them. Because of this I was bringing in 50 subs a day and they ALL came from TGN. Now if I just got partnered and did nothing else. No it wouldn't have helped "minus better search results". I developed shows that helped our partners on a regular basis and gave viewership/subs to them. "now that i'm gone those shows are gone" but still.

Also some networks help with networking opportunities and help point you in the direction of more views. I am now with N4Gtv and a lot of opportunities have opened up for me. Now if I just partnered with them and nothing else then their spotlights would help and better search results but again it's about working with them collaborating and being a "partner".

Being a partner means you are not in this alone, you have some one to work with and someone to help you. If you do nothing but update your banner. Nothing will come out of it. Keep this in mind.

Okay then. To amend: partnership is worthless unless you already get tens of millions of views and can use your userbase to get leverage against the networks. For the most part, what they will offer you are tools which you could have used anyways, they just direct you towards a good target area.

At the time of TGN I had just broken my first mill. =P
