Google Adwords Promoting

Ive seen a lot of Google Adwords post asking questions, So i thought i would give my advice and experience with promoting my videos with google adwords.

First thing is first, this is not paying for views. You are paying for google to play your videos on other people's videos and to put it around youtube. You are paying for promotion.

I found that this works great, not just for views but I actually gain subscribers from it. So here is my advice on how to be successful with Google Adwords.

  • Have a good video start: What I mean by this is, make sure the first 5 seconds of your video is interesting. As you seen in many of the youtube ads in video, you have the option to skip the ad after 5 seconds. So if the first 5 seconds of your video isnt interesting, then people will most likely skip it ASAP.
  • Thumbnail: Having an attracting Thumbnail helps because your ads will also be placed around youtube and not just in videos. So have an attracting thumbnail will most likely pull in viewers.
  • Keywords: Make sure to use good keywords related to your video. Do not focus on simple keywords such as funny,epic,etc..These keywords will just lose your video.
  • Payment: It's not as much as you would think. I myself put in $10 into my google adwords every now and then when I release a new video. Then run the ad for that new video and set a budget of $2.5o per day on that video, which it would mean the video ad runs for 4 days. Set the cpv to $0.01 per view and it shows me an estimate of 250 - 500 views per day.
I hope this post is of help to you guy because I love using Google Adwords and yes as much as its good for views, its also good for subscribers and expanding your audience. Using Google Adwords increases the chance of more people seeing your content. People that you wouldnt be able to reach or come across.
Comment down below if this has helped you or if you have any tips for using Google Adwords.

I tried adwords before and had some mixed results, but overall it was worth the investment. This post makes me interested in trying again

I started an adwords campaign at the beginning of July. Had 207 subs at the time. I have 760 now using promo credit for about half of July and since then an ad budget of about $5 a day. I have no intention of stopping any time soon, in fact that will be increased come September. I gain 15-20 subs a day.

It's crazy how great Google Adwords is and people either don't know about it or it just seems confusing to them. That's why I made this thread to make sure people know it does work and to show them how I do it. Keep up the good work man!

I find more often than not, the response is usually "I prefer to do it the normal way".

I look at it as a business. Advertising your business costs money.

Nice post bro but I have one question, what is the difference between buying adwords ads and buying high retention views from real humans from different sites ? Beside targeted users. Thanks !

Adwords ads are just that, Ads and you will only get views if people click on the ad. Its like advertising a business, you pay for an ad to be shown on a website and the clicks/views depends on how appealing the ad is. Buying views from websites is against ToS, those "real human views" are bots and not real people watching your ads.

There is no such thing as high retention views from real humans on different sites. heh The point behind adwords is that the views are truely organic. Only people who actually liked your ad and want to see more are going to go and watch more, or potentially subscribe. You can force them via the YouTube tech to see at least a small portion of the ad, but you can't force them to actually check out your channel, that's optional if they like your content.

"High Retention Views" is a sales line given by people who sell bot views usually, but even if it wasn't, you have to ask yourself how they're getting you those high retention views. And is there any way that it's better than the views of people who saw your ad and legitimately checked you out as a result. :)

I dropped $40 back in June, and it got me some subs and 40 - 60 views a week extra. I may try again soon, this time with $100. I look at this like a business and my business hobby, so of course money has to be saved to the side for it.
