Google Adsense

Last night I signed up for Google Adsense and was approved right away. Saw that this morning so I went to check out my account...
And it told me I need to provide an option for payment (adding bank account), something about the IRS, and something about an exempt? Since I'm under 18 I got permission from my parents and used my mom's name, and someone I know uses Google Adsense for youtube and the checks are mailed to him, he didn't have to provide any bank account info... I'm confused about it? Does anyone know what this is about? I canceled the thing all together just in case they would bill us or anything, for now..

we had to provide a bank account too.. you don't have to do it right away.. they wont send you a sent till they have a hundred bucks.. You can start monetizing your stuff right away.. you just wont get a dime till you do

You could just monotize your videos and start saving up for the 100 bucks. Or you could disable monotezation if you don't want to bug anybody with annoying ads.

It's normal for them to ask for bank info. They aren't going to charge you anything. The IRS thing if I am reading your comment correctly is probably your social security number for tax purposes. You can provide all that info without a problem. If you don't provide those pieces of information, you won't be able to get paid through adsense.

Will it add more to our taxes or something?

Like any income, it will be taxed at whatever rate you are normally taxed at. I am not an accountant, so I can't tell you how much that would be, but just like a paycheck, it will be taxed seperately as income. It's like having a job making videos and getting paid for it. It will not add tax to other income(s) you already have. Unless you are planning on making a huge amount of money from adsense, I wouldn't worry about it. The tax will only be a few dollars or so out of every $100.
