Gears of War 3 Monetization?

I'm partnered with creator x and i like to play Gears of war 3 and i was wondering if you are allowed to monetize it if u have commentary over it

well they reffered me to this link where it has a list of games that can't be monetized http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/developer/rules Gears of War isn't on that list

I messaged them on twitter just to be sure i want a 100% answer, because the game isn't owned by Microsoft and creator X doesn't have the rights to ANY microsoft games

I'd recommend emailing them for support rather than a twitter message, it's more formal

but i always DM them on twitter they reply a heck of a lot quicker

Does anyone know 100% because if i can monetize i'm gonna shell out $60 for the season pass and the on demand game, at the moment i am borrowing the game from a friend

I don't know for sure. But I also recall Creator X saying not to do Microsoft and Rockstar games (possible some other ones).

I don't know whether microsoft owns gears of wars or not but on the bottom of the site it does say copyright by microsoft. So microsoft probably has rights over the game therefore I would say avoid... but you should make sure with creator x/fullscreen if you really want to do that game.

But in the game it says and i quote "Copyright 2011, Epic Games Inc." so i think its safe but i'm waiting to hear back from them before i buy it and all its dlc
