Fullscreen vs Boom Network?

Hey,
I'm kind of in the same situation. I got offered TGN first, then RPM (Maker studios), Tiny Galaxy (Full screen) and last Boom. I pretty much wrote TGN off straight away because they didn't seem like they would do a lot to improve my revenue and I had heard a lot of people have issues with them. Their contracts if not read correctly were a little misleading but just ask them a question and they eventually clarified my suspicions. My main issue was that as a tech reviewer I didn't want to be funneled away from there main Network HUB and into the TGN Technology HUB that only had 8000 subs. (I kind of am assuming that promotion of your videos pretty much happens via that means?) I also didn't want to loose control of my uploads and be forced to upload to the TGN page just to get better promotion.

Next was RPM. They seemed like they would get me better revenue but I was unsure of how well I would be promoted and the person who was trying to sign me would not just answer my questions and would send me useless links. They seem like a pretty plain safe offer.

I went after Fullscreen myself and got offered Tiny Galaxy which seems very small and not the major benefit of Fullscreen themselves in terms of viewers. That would be ok because there appeal was selling private advertising deals (Gorilla campaigns they call it) with you once a week for one video to earn far better revenue. I did not like the amount of control they wanted over my channel in terms of editing videos to distribute on there HUB and trying to have access to a playlist. They have been willing to compromise on some things just waiting at the moment.

Finally came BOOM. There network is revenue focused. They really don't ask much else but to put some in video advertisement shout outs and video either at start or end from what I have seen and try and get you higher paying ads. I love that my channel stays in tact I am just skeptical of how much growth I will see with my channel.

I would love to hear some feedback to help me choose. Being smaller perhaps I should go with BOOM to earn more revenue and keep building my channel as is which seems to be growing linearly with time anyways. Then when I can be accepted into a big network down the track when the size of my channel will have greater affect, do that.

Cheers

Pick the best contract that suits you, pick the Network that can offer you additional features over another Network. Pick what suits you. No one else can really recommend you to a Network even if we have positive experiences with them, it should be for you to decide what's best and what works for you.

Hi guys,
Good to see an active discussion around comparing YouTube networks.
My name is Daniel and I take care of our YouTube community here at Boom Video. Since the community is asking questions about Boom compared with other networks, I thought it might add value to the conversation to elaborate a bit on what we have to offer as a network over other, international networks.
As you may know, networks specialise in offering a range different benefits to their members; they are not all the same in how they can assist your channel. Sure, there are certain expected commonalities such as responsive customer service, but depending on what your goals are with your channel, it pays to check in on what a specific network can do for you. Currently, we are exclusively based in Australia and are very focussed on servicing our community of over 240 channels in this region. We offer a range of resources, tools and networking opportunities that are in place to help our community optimise and grow their channel. However, we specialise in helping build channel revenue - i.e. we here to help our channels make YouTube their day job.
Our channels are offered the opportunity to work with high-profile brands on exciting campaigns.as we have a sales team on the ground in Australia that sells a range of brand integrations to the largest media agencies in this part of the world. These opportunities come in different forms, such as shout-outs, product placement and more elaborate branded content. While other networks do offer a limited version of this benefit, this is our core specialisation and we do it well.
We are not as big a network as some of our international competitors, and we certainly don't hide from this fact, we embrace it. The size of our network enables us to diligently focus on the members we currently represent.
Questions that come to mind when deciding on a network: Are you interested in being part of local community of channels that exist in your time zone and geography? Are you interested in working with relevant brands? Are you able to take full advantage of the benefits offered by a network in another country? i.e. production facilities.
If you are interested in finding out if Boom is right for you, please check out our YouTube channel at 'boomvideo'. You'll find an expression of interest in joining the network.
Good luck with your channels, guys!
Daniel.

YouTube Partner Manager
Hey man, I'm an Australian YouTuber who has been making videos for over 2 years now. I have 1,800 subs and 250,000+ total upload views. I am currently partnered with Creator X and that's ok I guess, but it doesn't really help in promoting my content. I really want to be able to grow my channel. So I was wondering, do you guys really promote your partners content? Because Creator X said they do yet I've been with them for almost 6 months now and that haven't done anything at all. If I did partner with you guys would you help me to make my channel grow or is the Boom network mainly for larger channels? Thanks :D

Hey Guys,

Both Fullscreen and Boom Network have offered me to become part of their network. If you dont know what Boom is, its Australia's first and only YouTube network at the moment.Right now, I am torn between the two companies. I guess my questions really are:

1) Should I join a smaller network (Boom) rather than a big one? The advantage of this is of course the company can focus more on my channel rather than juggling so many at the same time. If I join Boom, it would also be good because I am also located in Australia so contacting them would be easier than contacting someone from Fullscreen as I would have to wait a day.

2) If you are a partner at Fullscreen, what is your experience with them? Is it good?Bad? What were some of the things you had negotiated with them before signing the contract? Do you earn more than you did before?

3) Fullscreen's contract lasts for 2 years whereas Boom lasts for 1 year. I am currently a partner with YouTube and I have never been with an external network partner before. Would it be better if I joined for a year to see how it is or should I just go for Fullscreen's 2 years?

I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out here as I am pretty much torn between these two companies!

Thanks in advance :bounce:
Truthfully i am just now hearing about the network called boom and i am a fullscreen partner and you can basically say i am new though and lol i am locked in for 2 years but one thing i have seen an increase in since joining was higher estimated earnings rather than when i was monetizing my videos with google adsense. Wish you the best of luck and hope you come to a decision thats more comfortable to you:)

Probably full screen because I hear that the support is good and they have gorilla campaign to boost your channel!

I did ask but here is what they told me:

"Given the financial investment that we put into our channels; for the software and tools, we often don't see a return until the latter end of the 2-year time period, which is why all of our contracts run for that length. A 2-year partnership is also proven to benefit our channels, as it's an ideal length of time to fully utilize your network and grow your channel viewership."

I got this lady called Alyssa Manning. Anyone dealt with her before?

I know I can negotiate my contract.. But the thing is, I dont know what to negotiate about as I am so new to this

They said the same thing point for point to me. Major turn off.[DOUBLEPOST=1366966792,1366966709][/DOUBLEPOST]
Okay thanks.. Is she good? Cause right now I think shes sick of my questions haha but that also gives me the impression that their support system isnt as good :unsure2:
Funny/sad: I talked with another TGS rep who gave me the exact same impression. Not the same gal.

Perhaps that is a pressuring techique they use, but I would rather sign with someone who treats me as a human rather than as fodder to sign-and-forget.
