Fullscreen vs Boom Network?

Hey Guys,

Both Fullscreen and Boom Network have offered me to become part of their network. If you dont know what Boom is, its Australia's first and only YouTube network at the moment.Right now, I am torn between the two companies. I guess my questions really are:

1) Should I join a smaller network (Boom) rather than a big one? The advantage of this is of course the company can focus more on my channel rather than juggling so many at the same time. If I join Boom, it would also be good because I am also located in Australia so contacting them would be easier than contacting someone from Fullscreen as I would have to wait a day.

2) If you are a partner at Fullscreen, what is your experience with them? Is it good?Bad? What were some of the things you had negotiated with them before signing the contract? Do you earn more than you did before?

3) Fullscreen's contract lasts for 2 years whereas Boom lasts for 1 year. I am currently a partner with YouTube and I have never been with an external network partner before. Would it be better if I joined for a year to see how it is or should I just go for Fullscreen's 2 years?

I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out here as I am pretty much torn between these two companies!

Thanks in advance :bounce:

Hey, i'm also an Australian channel and I was offered by fullscreen and boom to join their network. I chose fullscreen because they are much bigger and have more experience with this kind of thing. I've had no problems with fullscreen and if your worried because of the 2 year contract I have heard of many cases where fullscreen partners asked to leave after 1 year at fullscreen and they were allowed to. So yeah I would recommend fullscreen but it's up to you, I hope this helped :)

Hey! Thanks for the reply, my worry is that what if they don't allow me to leave? 2 years is a long time especially for YouTube haha.

Just ask them for a 1 year contract and they'll give it to you. If your channel grows larger, you might be able to get shorter contracts in the future. Since they auto-renew at the same terms if you don't try to leave/renegotiate, there's no reason to ever sign a contract longer than 6 months/1 year.

full screen has been in the business a while and knows youtube rules and lay out very well. I would suggest them if they offer you the same deal and don't forget you can negotiate your contract

I did ask but here is what they told me:

"Given the financial investment that we put into our channels; for the software and tools, we often don't see a return until the latter end of the 2-year time period, which is why all of our contracts run for that length. A 2-year partnership is also proven to benefit our channels, as it's an ideal length of time to fully utilize your network and grow your channel viewership."

I got this lady called Alyssa Manning. Anyone dealt with her before?

I know her. Don't give in if you want a 1 year contract. I'm sending you a private message-it will be ready in a few minutes.

She's not my partner manager, but one of my friends just signed with her. I'm taking him in to meet with her on Monday and I'll probably shoot some videos while I'm there.

i would go with boom if my channel is not top notch, fullscreen is good and you can get the most out of it if your channels huge, but if it isn't go with smaller networks and work your way up
