Fullscreen Network Questions

We were contacted by Fullscreen to join their network and although we've heard good things about them, it usually is fairly vague or from newer partners. We got to be YouTube partners before they opened it to everyone, so we have most of the average benefits you see in a network.

I've seen some people talk about joining Fullscreen, but they always seem to have just joined. So to anyone who's been a partner for a while, how do you like it? Did you see an increase in ad revenue when you joined them despite their cut? Did their tools actually help you grow your channel? Were you able to change the length of time the contract was for?

Right now we would like to have a contract for 1 year instead of two and are talking to them about it, but our biggest worry is that we'll just a drop in how much revenue we make, and there isn't much use in joining a network if you are not going to see any benefits to it.

I love fullscreen.

Yes, your pay is cut, but they provide higher paying ads, and a load of other resources to help grow your channel. They also have gorilla campaigns to help you gain some more cash. The way they pay you is different than Adsense as well, so you will get more money from ads.

So while your pay is being cut, you will most likely end up gaining more. :)

How long have you been with Fullscreen?

Another question that I have....

Is there a threshold in Fullscreen? Is it after or before the cut? I'm still with RPM until September but I already contacted Fullscreen and they told me I'm quite guaranteed to be a partner. Should I move in to Fullscreen?

The threshold is $100, and it's after the cut.

I'm not Partnered with fullscreen, however, this may be a difficult question for someone to answer. From my experience since being partnered, I've come to learn that YouTube revenue is a very fickle thing. There are so many variables that can sway the numbers that it's really hard to tell sometimes if you're actually making more or less than a previous figure you're comparing it to. One example for us that plays a big part is Mobile views (which gets considerably less revenue than average) and lately we've been getting a very large audience who watch exclusively on mobile. Additionally, the time of the year plays a big factor with certain months (particularly earlier months) receiving a much lower income. So it would be hard for us to say whether we are making "more," because we are actually making less now (our RMP is lower April '13 with a partnership than it was in April '12 without a partner) but that doesn't really mean anything since the actual monetizable views was so much higher last year when our audience was much smaller.

So basically what I'm saying is take people's numbers and experiences (including mine) with a grain of salt because there is a lot that comes into play. One year goes fast on YouTube and might turn out to be beneficial for you. I will say though, that unless you are raking in considerably high views, I probably wouldn't expect to see much of a jump in your checks. But again, this is just my experience. I'll admit that I was a bit excited when we joined our partnership and found myself slightly underwhelmed. But luckily we just enjoy making videos so that's what we focus on. Best of luck!

Wow. Really? $100? What if you didn't that? Man...RPM only has $50.:/ Nvm. I'll still go with Fullscreen.
