Alrighty! I've finally hit VIP, I've linked up my second channel which is my music channel called absolutemusicsg. Absolute Music being the name and SG representing Singapore where I'm from. So I've decided to open up this thread to take requests for anyone who wants custom music made for them.

The music will be
  1. Totally free
  2. Put up on a creative commons license so you can monetize it
  3. But so can anybody else
If you want music that only you can use
  1. PM me and we can make an arrangement for this
  2. Either on this forum or on my absolutemusicsg music channel
So basically if it's a piece that's going to be creative commons for everyone to use, it will be free.
If it's a piece that you want exclusively, I'm going to expect some form of compensation.
I feel that this is only fair since you are requesting a piece of work and keeping it for your own use only. If you feel custom music is not worth paying for, then sure you are entitled to that opinion but I don't want to devalue my own work that way. I only make it free under creative commons because that's a form of sharing and I'm okay with that.

Depends on the scope of the song.
How complex and how long the song will be will definitely make a big difference.
Also I must clarify, exclusive means that I grant you permission to use it and not put it out free for public use.
That does not mean you own the copyrights to the song in case that's what you were thinking.
For now I would quote somewhere between $20-$30 for a 2-3 min song that's not too complex in instrumentation.
I'm going to start with low prices (and that is really low price in case you think otherwise) for now.
But if that's still not in your budget/think it's not worth it, then just request a free song.

Free songs basically means you make a request, if I decide to do it, it will be put up on soundcloud under a creative commons license. You can use the song for free, you can monetize anything you use it in for free. Only thing is that other people will be able to do the same.   2. Include the following details
  • Genre/style of music
  • Intended use of music
  • Required length
  • References of similar music
Genre and style of music is something I obviously need to know before I can make what you want.
Intended use of music will greatly help me in thinking how the music should be crafted, for example if you want it to be background music while you vlog I wouldn't make it so intense or forward sounding. If you want it for like a montage then I would make it more driving and aggressive.
Required length again is something I obviously need to know. If you have no required length then go ahead and say so. Also if you would like something that loops you can also say you would like a loop.
References of similar music is also something that would help me nail down something close to what you want. So feel free to link me a piece of music which is close to what you would want.

I would appreciate some music. Not a very long piece, probably around 2 minutes if you feel up to it? I would very much appreciate it and of course would credit you for your work.
