I have been on youtube now for 14 months and I have four partnered Channels. Three are in spanish and one in english.

Philhon - http://www.youtube.com/philhon - My English Channel - 8,000 subs
The reason for the post is because I know that many have complained about the new youtube layout and honestly the channel layout does not bother me as much as the front page does. The front page now is a mini facebook with the timeline which is a huge headache.
The reason I say this is, Imagine that your subscribers are subscribed to 100 channels. If you upload your video at a time when others are uploading, you can easily be bumped down so far on the timeline that your subscribers will miss your video unless they have pinned you which only 20 can be pinned and many don't even know you can do this yet. I used to get around 800K views a month but now I am down to about 300K.
If it wasn't for Twitter and Facebook and some other social networks where I post my videos, my views would be even lower. Of course, there is nothing we can do about it and the only advice I can give people who are uploading videos is to find forums like this one to post their videos.
Just keep on uploading videos and hope for the best.
