Mae B
Posting Mad!
To celebrate my birthday on July 10th, I aim to put some positivity and happiness out into the world in the form of a short, feel good, cinematic, fun "mini film" using my own clips as well as yours. Together, we will create a compilation video all of the little moments that bring us joy. The ultimate goal is to make somewhat of an awe-inspiring video that makes viewers smile.
Note: the purpose of this collab is not primarily to promote your channel. I am inviting you to be a creative videographer with me.
The question:
What are the things that make you happy? The things that put you in a good mood? The things that set you off to have a great day? What are the little things that make you smile? Is it coffee with friends, seeing flowers blow in the breeze, seeing the horizon ahead as you're driving, feeling sand between your toes? Is it zoning out on the subway, making yourself a sandwich, seeing your daughter laugh, or greeting your dog when you get home?
The task:
Film just about anything throughout your day that makes you smile, be happy, or feel good. Be creative, be artful, be spontaneous! Whip out your camera and share a little piece of your day with me that makes you happy! Focus on the thing making you happy - not your face (ex. film the sunset, not your face in front of the sunset. - This is a recommendation, not a rule).
The details:
-must have at least 720 res video
-participants automatically give me the right to edit or omit footage & accompanied audio
-send in as many clips as you want!
-each clip should be minimum 2 seconds, maximum 20 seconds.
-no text / subtitles / captions / crazy edits or effects
-no narration / added audio
-MUST BE .MOV OR .MP4 FORMAT (or any other format that will work in iMovie)
The benefits:
-as noted, this is not exactly a promotional opportunity! this is an invitation to work together to create something worth watching.
-that said, all participants will get channel names, URLs, and jumplinks in the description
-as many of you know, i typically invest authentic interest and support into collab participants' later content
The submission:
-collab closes JUNE 26th, 2015
-email me when your clips are ready at any time before the due date to maebeerman [at] comcast.net
-I will respond with a Dropbox link for you to upload to
-put "YTTalk Birthday Collab" as the subject line of your email
-in the body of the email, include a URL link to your YouTube channel, as well as your name or whatever you would like me to put your name as for the video description. Also tell me the type of YouTuber you are (vlogger / comedian / gamer / beauty guru etc.).
-Important! name your video clips in this manner: "Mae Beerman_makingcoffee.mp4" (YoutubeName_clipcontent)
Remember...be creative! be spontaneous! try something different! share with the world the little moments that bring you happiness. be artistic or "artsy", use extreme closeups, do whatever it takes to capture something that makes you happy.
I hope you like my idea, it would be the most amazing birthday present to create something meaningful with you all
