Hey everyone just a short announcement letting you know about some changes to emails.
I have today switched off automatic thread emailing for all members and it is now opt in only for both existing members and all new members, you can now opt in to receiving emails for watched threads for all threads you post within/watch if you wish, you can do this by visiting your preferences by hovering your username at the top of the forums, clicking Preferences and then checking "and receive email notifications of replies" or by going here:
http://yttalk.com/account/preferences
For those who may not understand the difference, the biggest difference is now no one will receive emails for responses to threads unless they have opted in through either the option mentioned above or by clicking Watch thread within the thread and then clicking to receive email notifications of responses.
This does not affect alerts for watched threads, watching threads is still set as automatic as default for you all, just a heads up for those who may wonder that.
