There are very few things that are going up on Youtube that haven't been posted before - I do crochet tutorials on my second channel. There are thousands of others out there but I post mine because I feel like I present the information in a slightly different way than many, and some people might connect with my presentation of the info more easily than from other videos.
I promote by having joined and become an active member of crafting forums. I also search "learn crochet" on twitter, look at anyone who may have recently tweeted about wanting to learn, and I tweet my website at them with a personalized message.
There are definitely ways to get your videos seen!
