Does CPM Ever Flatten Out?

Hi,

I've seen my CPM anywhere from $.90 to almost $10. It varies wildly every day. Is there any reason for this or is it just how it is? Does it ever even out and settle into a predictable pattern?

Low in January to March, Average from April to August , High in September to November, Extremely high in December.

Are you talking Gross CPM? as in pre-Google`s cut?

Ive never understood why it is higher in certain months, and lower in others.

Companies do not advertise with high CPMs in certain months of the year.

Because all the companies advertise at Christmas because that`s when the most sales happen.
Then January comes around and they`ve spend their advertising budget.
