I'm not really fond of making logos personally, and as such I went through a few others that didn't really do it for me before this. Regardless, I'd like to ask people's opinions and if you have any recommendations.
The color scheme is something that is pretty much agreed. When we started our Let's Play channel we went through several swatches of color combinations we liked that I could base most of the graphics on. The grey and blue mix is where we ended up.
One of my big concerns when creating a logo was avoiding anything too girly. There's all this girl gamer controversial nonsense going on right now, and I don't want to attract attention by shoving gender in peoples' faces (because in the long-run it really doesn't matter). So we avoided pink or girly font, and tried to make something pretty neutral.
