Hypothetically, if someone sent me a video and said i should not worry about copyright, and i end up getting a copyright strike on that video, can i submit a counter notification saying that the video uploader told me i would have no copyright problems?
How i win?

Im not to sure what you mean? If they give you written permission to use their content stating the reason and tell you you can monteize it or not as long as you dont violate their terms they cant put a strike on your account if they attempt it send youtube the written permission in an appeal... its better if they sign it

Well, is a email with permission the same as u buy a license for a royalty free track, just to be safe and have a legal document?
