Concerning RPM's new contract

ThatKayen

I've Got It
Hello, YTtalk friends. I made this thread because I see a lot of confusion on RPM's new contract as where I see people going ''DON'T JOIN THE NEW CONTRACT SUCKS'' and lots of stuff like that. And I am talking about now, not a week ago when this RPM 2 year 50/50 contract was all new.

Thing is... Not everyone are given this 2 year 50/50 contract. They still offer the same 1 year 60/40 contract as before BUT! To get that contract your channel has to have enough views per month (Around 2500 I would assume).

Who knows? Perhaps RPM is trying to trick people but the truth is that you CAN still get the GOOD contract the only problem is that people are IMPATIENT and NOT CAREFUL so they won't read their contract to see what they're getting, they don't even research!

If you want to join the RPM network then DO IT but for the love of all that you hold dear be PATIENT and wait until you are given the 1 year and 60/40 contract.

''Well ThatKayen, I am only doing this for the money and...''

So what?! You'll be LOCKED IN for 2 year instead of 1 even if you won't monetize your videos. What if you grow really big and want money in a year or close to that. What if you get an amazing deal to join a new network? Who knows what you might get?

And to be honest, if you cannot reach 2500 views a month before you quit on Youtube there's no point in signing for a network and there's no point in monetizing.

The latter is just my two cents and the beginning of my post is a fact.

Thank you for reading.

I think 50/50 sucks, but it's not for other people to tell other people not to join because of it. Everyone has their own choise, and if they like the contract they sign them. I don't know why people even why people trying to convice others to not join because of it.

The bigest problem with people these days is indeed like the OP said, everyone wants to be partner, only have 300 views or something like that and they think they have spent alot of time to become partner and earn money.

So first read the contract and if you like it join them, but remember you can't get out of it.

On the other side, my contract expires soon with RPM, but they have autorenew, so I hope I still keep my 60/40.

Yes, unless they contact you with a new contract and have you sign it they have to renew the contract that you currently have, it's against the law for them to change it without you signing it again.

And thank you people for the nice comments and to you Ken, ORDER AND RIGHTEOUSNESS!

Great Post though

The problem is that people are comparing RPM to AwesomnessTV,telling others that RPM is gonna scam them out of their money. Truth is,if you cannot accumulate enough money through 2 years of contract, why the f do you need a partnership in the first place? RPM stated multiple times that they pay their partners, and people have been payed. In most of the contract threshold for payout is 50$ in a month,if you can't reach that,it gets transfered to next month. When you reach 50$,you'll get payed. And again,if you cannot earn 50$ in 2 years, you don't even need a freaking partnership, especially now when all the benefits are gone.

I agree with what you've said, but I know someone who's on the 60/40 1 year contract and he says that since RPM began taking in 0 daily views channels, the support went downhill a lot and is now very slow and many of their support team appear to not know what they're doing. So even with only a 1 year lock-in, the support probably won't be worth it. There are much better deals with better support and higher revenue share available (if channels wait a short while until they fit the requirements for those networks).
