I've Got It
So, I'm in need of some advice. I had an idea for my friend and I to start our own collab channel. She was all for it. She mentioned it to another friend of hers and he ended up becoming almost like dictator over the whole thing. He's making all of the decisions and just being overbearing. I am at my whits end. This was supposed to be a group effort not "hitlers collab channel.." I'm just so frustrated. How do I address this calmly and rationally, without just screaming "this was my collab idea first!!!!!!" Like a kindergartener?
 
Well I'm sorry that your friend is being such a douche about this.

My mind thinks to always at irrational, but I usually do the opposite.
I suggest you confront this person, but not by yelling obviously. Tell him that "a collab channel is a collective effort, not a channel for just one person to decide everything. If you want this collab to work you will have at least consider our opinion too, otherwise the collab will fall before it even starts."

I'm just so frustrated. I have thought of maybe just starting something by myself without former friends being involved and seeing if it'd work that way. I am using this collab to get my start in youtube and get myself used to video making. I just want it all to work and to have fun. doesn't seem like much to ask.
 
If he does not respond well to what I've stated above then I suggest that you start your own collab. You could either ask people here on the site whether or not they would like to join or even open up auditions on your own channel. All will work out, don't worry.
 
In a situation like his you may want to consider that inside he's probably under some sort of stress and the thought of trying to make the channel successful is making him a tad more tense that he should be.

Just confront him about it, if worse comes to worse just remove him entirely and keep the girl on board, especially if she's attractive. Those kinds of things attract people.
