Closing Adsense Account

Hey Everyone!

I was just accepted into the Fullscreen community and have since made the complete switch with the partnership! YouTube changed all my monetizing settings to "claimed" which brought up this question..

Now that I am partnered and no longer have the need for my Adsense account, is it alright to close it?

Appreciate the help!

Thanks for the response. I assumed I still had control over the account and closed it. I suppose that's fine, or should I reopen it? Haha

I wasn't really made aware of the situation so any clarification now would be great!

I wouldn't close it, I still use it for my blog, yes the same account I had before. Now, if you decide to leave after your contract you will still need your adsense activated so you can switch back. Once an adsense is close it's closed. You have to reapply with a different name and all kinds of hassles. Good luck. :)

They own your Adsense. You signed it over to them.
Nobody can own your Adsense, network adds their own Adsense in place of yours just switching takes some time...

Not sure if its good or bad if you closed it, you may need it later though...
Anyway do not do anything else (do not re-open for now), all should be fine.

Thanks for the advice chef! Unfortunately I already closed it, silly me, but luckily I was able to submit a notice to reopen the account (I'm assuming this option is new?)

I guess my other question is, now that I'm a Fullscreen partner and I've mistakenly closed my Adsense account - should I be concerned? I've submitted a notice to reopen the account and it's currently in review.

Thanks! :)

Fullscreen doesnt need your Adsense, i think they will fix the issues, just from this moment do not do anytihing else (closing, reopening, then closing again :) ) because all those actions can slow down the setup process :)

I think so, not sure though

I think Fullscreen will let you know if you need to do something regarding this issue.
