Claiming audiovisual content?

Zaff

I've Got It
As you probably know, when claiming a video for monetizing it, from the YT video manager, you get the option to claim audio, visuals or both. I'm just wondering, is it correct to claim as "audiovisual" (both) if you're using royalty free music or music used with permission?

there is no problem with it as long as the artists say you can, if you look at other youtube partners they use royalty free music and have videos monetized

if i have a montage uploaded i choose video only coz i have music over it but if i commentated i claim as audiovisual

Can you actually do that? Put copyrighted music in a video and then just claim the visual? Or did you mean non-copyright music?

Ye, I know you can monetize it, that's what royalty free and used with permission is all about, was wondering though if one can claim the audio part then or if one is supposed to monetize as claiming the visuals only. But according to people here, you can.

I've tried playing around with this int he past and when it has been music that got tagged they nicked it for copyright issues. I had music in the background and I was talking over it and Google still picked it up.
