Can't Enable Monetisation?

unknown_user0032

I Love YTtalk
Since my video has done better than the 50 views I assumed it would get, I have decided to enable monetisation via AdSense and just see how things go. I figure it couldn't hurt.

But as you can see from the screenshot, despite there being no issues with any claims etc (no reason to really), I can't enable it on that particular video.

Basically, I enabled it before, and then clicked disable (I sorta double clicked and didn't mean to), and when I re-enabled it, this happened.

How do I fix this? As you can see I can monetise, because the other two are just fine.

Hover over the grey icon, I'm guessing it says 'under review' ? In which case you'll have to wait quite a while for youtube to allow it or more likely to deny it or do nothing.

No if you look at the bottom video, there is no icon. That's my problem. I just haven't enabled that grey one yet.

Oh gosh, I want to see that next video... soooo bad, it hurts. :hungry2:

To answer your question... I think there is some sort of glitch or issue with videos that are doing particularly well in comparison with other videos. Youtube might be suspecting that it is botted--which it's not, I know!! I'm having a similar issue with my new booster video. I don't intend on monetizing it but I have the option to do so on every single video except that one--which got a lot of views in one day compared to everything else. Weird but that might be why.

If there is someone who knows how to fix it please speak up, but as far as i have looked at it that video is not applicable for monetization anymore, if you want it monetized you will have to reupload. That being said from now on enable monetization on every video you upload but uncheck each ad option such as displayed below. That way when you want monetization you simply enable your choice of ads and you will not have any hastle.

Dayum, that would suck. It initially was enabled but perhaps when I clicked disable it did something to that video? I'm not really sure who at YouTube I should contact; they're not the best for getting back to people :giggle:

It is a youtube bug, and youtube seems to not want to fix it, for some reason. If you contact YouTube Partner Support and report it they will tell you something like this:

"... in some circumstances, our Content ID system generates a 'pending' claim that requires a content owner's action before it is visible to the video's uploader. Until they do that, the claim isn't visible to you."

The only way you can monetize that video at the moment is to partner with a network.
