Can you close a processing video on YouTube

If I just uploaded a video and now it's processing, can you close the tab or sign out with no detriments?

Do it all the time, I upload, and as soon as it finished I usually go to bed. I can't afford to keep my eyes open to let it finish processing...

Oh yes, I learned all about this last year. I HATED staying up until the early morning hours so that my video could upload/process/etc. Once I found out that I could close my laptop when the video was processing, I was so happy. This just makes me wish I had a desktop even more. I could sleep while my videos are uploading. It would be such a lifesaver.

I don't know if you know this already, but you can also suspend uploads, so, if it takes forever to upload a video and you'd rather not try and sit through it all in one session, you can start the upload, and then, when you're ready, just exit the upload tab, and next time you upload, if you select the same file it will continue where you left off. It's been a real life saver for me!
