Camera advice?!

Alright. So, here's the deal. I have a budget of $300 or less. I'd like a camera that takes really nice quality pictures, and has the option to record video and has a microphone. If that's not possible, a camcorder that records in solid 1080p would be great. Any recommendations? Thank you ~

The Canon Powershots are great. I used a Canon Powershot ELPH 110HS, recorded in 1080p, great video/picture quality, handheld digital camera, so it's not a big dslr camera. Cost me $170.

This is what we use and love it. Has a real crop sensor so think of it as a mini dslr. It takes great pictures and awesome video. Its a samung nx1000
