Blocking ads

In Adsense I have blocked a lot of ad categories (Beauty, Health, etc.) that don't seem relevant to my content (Guns & shooting). My thoughts are that if my ads are more relevant to my viewers then there is a greater potential for a click. Do you think this is the right choice?

If I was watching your game videos eating a bag of doritos and a diabetes ad popped up I would be like "wow im going to die" and click it.

probably not. but. i would keep all the advertisements up. Just in case, y'know?

It's sounds pretty good. I was watching a video by TheThinkingAtheist and the ad that appeared at the side was "What is Scientology?".

Having an ad block which only blocks adverts that the user isn't interested in is a very good idea.
