Check out my Partnered Channel!
Hello!
I came across this quote from Ira Glass on the creative process that at least for me and possibly everyone of you who are reading this that are just starting to do Youtube/have been for a while/just need some inspiration and motivation i feel this quote you will be able to relate to and take a lot from it.
Here is the quote in the form a typographic video check it out!
This quote I actually found to mean a lot to me because I remember going through those stages/still kinda am, I have came a long way since I started doing Youtube, but when I started doing Youtube I was doing instrument covers of songs and while that was fun, I though I could do more. I knew I could do more. I had good taste like the video said and i wanted more so I dove head first into recording my own music and putting them to VFX.
Here is one of my first VFX videos, by my standards now its absolute garbage. I original put this up in the month of July in 2011, not really knowing/understanding anything that I was doing:
But i kept with it and kept working/learning and fast forward to now(January 2013) i have worked/working my self through that phase and now have a large volume of quality original music and VFX videos on my channel with this one being my latest video i put up on my channel:
Compared to when i started my content has greatly improved and i really want to get my point across that if you feel like your going though what the video says, that "Phase" its completely natural and pretty much every huge youtuber(and me) went through/are still going though this and if you do have that "Taste" keep with it and in a matter of time you will be able to take your content to the next level six times over. And if your just starting, you probably have a lot of work to do, but don't let that be the reason to quit and to work though it because the next best content creator on Youtube may be you!
Hope you find this quote helpful like I have!
