Benefits of a Partnership for Smaller channels?

Loving YTtalk
I'm nowhere near ready for a partnership yet but I was wondering if there are any benefits to joining a channel somewhat early? I know they provide you with tools in order to help with overall quality in your videos like music, but what else do they offer? Do they help you Promote your channel? Is it easier to build/reach an audience with a partnership? Do they give advice for your videos (not content wise but like little suggestions on how to help the quality of your own content)?

Not really to be honest its better waiting till at least 100-150+ daily views (if not more).

So other than the tools they provide you it is pretty much the same?

Well in my opinion its bad to go with a network before your getting a decent number of views because your locked into a contract usually with a low % of the gross split which can often decrease your earnings from what you would of earn't with adsense alone.

I see, thanks for the info.:D

Benefits of partnership to smaller channels: Jack squat. Really, there's almost no point. You can monetize with adsense if you really want to, but you'll hardly make any money anyways. Plus, a lot of networks will sign very long, unfair contracts with you when given the chance. I just think it's unnecessary and kind of worthless. Wait until you get at least 15,000 views per month or so, anything below that won't even be worth the time you click 'monetize'.

While that is true, what do you expect to get as the little guy? Are they going to devote all of their resources towards promoting you and developing your channel? Why not do so for any of the thousands of other small channels always looking for partnership? Why you or me specifically? You have to have some sort of bargaining chip in order to achieve this, and that is something I constantly try to achieve, improving myself so I'm more valuable to YouTube as a whole. I think it's worked out pretty reasonably thus far for me.

So what's the point of joining a network at all if they're just going to take a percentage of your ad revenue? Wouldn't it be better to just stick with youtube?
