Becoming a YouTuber

For my first video, is it ok if I introduce who I and and talk about the main reasons I wanted to be a youtuber?

dont have to, with less than 200 subs I still dont have an intro or channel guide video, but with time of course, do whatever you feel, if expressing your reasons & making introductions is something you want to do then do it........................what camera will you be using? editing software?

i haven’t purchased a camera yet. I just have my IPhone 10 and MacBook Air.

great combination, I started with cellphone too, cellphones getting better fast, very capable devices

Oh ok true. So all I need is a tripod mount and those bright LED light since I will be starting out with my iPhone? Also do people only get monetize once they reach 1,000 subscribers?

1000 think so yeah, you can use a home lamp to save some $$$ at start, can even put the phone against something this way can start right away

My last question: is it ok if the first thing I post on my channel is a thumbnail and then in a few days post my first video?

I usually post a short story on instagram of a "video in the making",,,once the video is done then it is put on youtube with a short teaser on instagram
