Another, should I partner thread

I've Got It
Alright so here is the deal. I have been making videos for just under 2 years and I think I have been doing quite well. Almost 120,000 views a month, close to 7000 subscribers etc. I really want to take my videos to the next level and was wondering if joining a network would be the logical step.

From what I have read on here there are mixed opinions about studios. I would like to use royalty free music that the networks offer and other stuff. I was looking at Maker studio even tho the recent break up with RWJ has become big news. I have no idea what went wrong with them 2 but I am sure it would have no impact on a "smaller" channel such as myself.

Does Maker offer any other incentives that would really help my channel grow? Or is it kinda like im on my own with minimal help? Also I am concerened about how long it would take to remove my adsense from youtube before the views started to count at Maker. I do not want to be down for a month and losing the revenue that I would have normally had.

Thanks in advance for any help. You can check my stats if you need a more detailed look into my channel.

Be very careful about using the music library of any studio you join. If you choose to leave, you may not have permission to use the music anymore, which means you would need to change the music in any video where you used their library. The policies vary from studio to studio-and it's definitely something you should ask about if you're inquiring about partnership.

I had a meeting and tour of Maker about two weeks ago (they will give you a tour if you live nearby). They do seem a bit more hand on than other studios that I've talked to in terms of how often they are in contact with you after you sign, but in terms of promotions or collaborations, you will be on your own to get those things done-it's like that at just about every other network as well. Their hands on help would be limited to help you interpret the analytics from youtube and make the appropriate adjustments to your video release schedule/length based on the data available. You will end up paying for this-Maker wanted a much larger cut than other studios were asking.

A tour might be out of the question considering I live in Japan. I will keep in mind what you have said. So after your tour did you decide to join maker studios? If not. Why?

We decided not to join. Their asking price was too high compared to other studios and they wanted a 3 year commitment which is way too long. I think we would need around 3 million views per month to get the deals we were offered elsewhere and we're hovering around 1 million per month.

Wow 3 years is a long time. So with a million views a month why did you feel you wanted to join a network? What network did you decide to go with if you don't mind me asking?

The only reason to join a network is for more revenue. We don't really have any use for any of the partner perks that are offered. We are still in talks right now and haven't joined any network so far.

Also forgot to mention that Maker is a fully functional studio, so if you had production needs-like a sound stage, equipment, writers, animators, actors, etc, they are willing to provide them. You still have to pay for the services you use, but it's at a very steep discount. So if you are local and could take advantage of their infrastructure, that would help offset the cost of extra percentage you would have to fork over each month compared with other studios.

Glad you like our channel. If you don't mind my asking, how did you find us? Was it through a random recommendation on the side of another video you were watching or just through a random search?
