I want to make an animation and I'll need to use a sound clip from the TV show 'Friends' of a character saying something funny. If I put this in my video will i be able to monetize it, because it is not music so I don't really know.

No unfortunately you will not get away with that, as it's copyrighted material (basically, if you use for e.g. a gaming vidoe with the music that is embedded in the scene of the game, it's okay - adding music to it however is infringement)

No, alternatively you could just re-record it using your voice and you would be fine

you wouldn't get away from it, if it was a game and the sounds was apart of it, it would be fine but adding audio from other things onto a video isn't allowed when monetizing
