Well 'ello there,

I was banned from adsense on my old channel, ergo can no longer use them as a method of monetizing my videos.

I have been accepted onto Maker, however I see in the contract they mention adsense a lot. Am I, essentially, illegible to sign up to Maker as they will run through Adsense and then I will get my new account disabled for monetization?

Nah, once you've been banned you are banned for ever making new accounts, as soon as I made it they would just clock it again. Does this mean Maker runs through Adsense? I read a while ago Networks were the answer to a banned Adsense account, so am just a tad confused![DOUBLEPOST=1365190268,1365190166][/DOUBLEPOST]

I read a post on this very site explaining that Networks were the alternative if you were banned from Adsense.

Ah well that is unfortunate. It is pretty confusing but I believe the networks have Adsense accounts and then distribute the payments to creators through their own staff. When I had a channel with Machinima, we were paid by Machinima, not through Adsense

Yeah, that makes the most sense. I THINK I'm right in saying they use Adsense and pay you directly, otherwise you'd just be using Google's alternative which would eradicate the need for a network, however I was hoping someone on RPM would be able to chime in and give me their advice as to whether they had to sign up to Adsense!

Only if you start a new channel. Networks can't partner channels with disabled monetization tabs

Ah we seem to have got our wires crossed, that's exactly what I've done! I have a new channel, already surpassed my old channel & now looking to partner up with RPM. I wondered, however, if that required a new Adsense, or if they just mention it because they run through it? I can't sign up again, but shouldn't be an issue if it's them running through it rather than myself.

Ah right well long as you don't enable monetization you should be fine
