A method to posting? Or just willy nilly...

Symph

I'm a dude with a face and I know how to use it.
So thus far I've never made a schedule for my videos. I know most of the big youtubers have certain days and times they put out videos so their fans can be watching for them. Now I only have 40 subscribers, and they don't really communicate with me. (they lol at my stuff, but I mean like asking me questions or making requests for content) so I don't really feel like I need to give them a schedule, I don't think they are awaiting my videos with that much anticipation lol.

But is there an advantage to having a schedule? Does it really matter? And should you limit how much content you post so people don't get sick of you? I get in these zones where I will make like 5 videos in 2 days, but I don't upload them cause I don't want people to be like "Jeez!! Symphonious won't shut up!!" I try to keep at least 2 days between uploads (unless one is on my blog channel and the other is on my entertainment channel) Do you guys think that's smart? Or do you think when you're a small growing channel it's better to just throw out all the content you have so there will be alot to look at when people stumble upon you? Thoughts?

I dunno... hmm.
I have a posting schedual myself, but its more based on what I think I can do rather then what I think people watching will like. I mean, I make and post videos on my days off from work, when I have the time to put a video together, I doubt I could really make videos more often then that.

I will probably make the decision to go on a schedule if my subscribers start interacting with me more. Like if I get to the point where I'm getting messaged frequently or people are making requests for videos or they are asking when I'll post more or something, then it would probably seem like a good idea. By that point I will have a living breathing channel and it will be good to get us all on the same page. Right now though, seems kind of pointless. I really just want to know if I should post all my videos as soon as I think of them, or spread it out to not oversaturate you with my face ball, aka the globe that is my face.

Chose a day.

Friday,Sunday or Monday.

Why friday? end of school week and work day.People want to relax. They will remember that you post your awesome videos on friday and they will view it.

Why sunday? First relaxing day.People have nothing to do.So they will check you out.

Why Monday? Busy day. When you get home you want to relax after work.So they will check you out.

I release my music video every friday.

So i suggest you to post ya stuff on Sunday.

DONT PUT OUT VIDEOS ON OTHER DAYS.Teusday,Wensday,Thursday are the days when nobody really cares about youtube.I mean they will check ya stuff but im not sure that they will be focused since they have alot work to do.

My few cents :)

I wish I had the luxury to follow that advice XD
Like I said, I make and post my videos on my days off work, and I happen to have tuesday/wednesday off. Work has to come first, so perhapes my YT suffers for it.

You could make your videos on your days off, then just hang on to them and post them on a Friday, Sunday, or Monday. Just a suggestion.

This is starting to make more sense to me, like I should start doing this now even while my channel is small. The fact that I do a mixture of random comedy sketches and then turn around and do serious rock songs makes this a perfect situation. I can make my policy that I'll post a new comedy video every Friday, a new song every Sunday, and a new blog every Monday. That way if someone likes my music but not my comedy, or vice versa, they can just know to be watching for the video that's coming out that day. Yes I like this idea.

Hey here's another thought I just had. What about multiple posts on post day? Is that too much? Over saturating? I actually have 3 comedy ideas I'd like to post Friday, but I don't want any to get over looked because people won't want to watch all 3 at once, nor do I want to give off that needy attention ***** vibe. But truth be told it's just like the more ideas I make the more I have, I've just turned on this faucet that won't turn off and I'm coming up with multiple ideas each day sometimes!

What do you think? Giving people a few videos at a time? Or spreading it out...

If I done videos regularly I would probably release one every Friday too as Code says people are chilling out on a Friday after a long week. If people are busy and working a lot my advice to them is to make as many videos as you can in one day, just change your clothes and dont mention dates such as the month in the videos and release them when you are busy and not really up to recording, that way you could have the next three months covered in a day or two when you are up to it and can get them done :)

For me right now though I do them as and when I please, I feel quite fortunate having a channel where I can do that.

I wouldn't release them all at once personally, I would wait until the featured one hits a certain views threshold you are happy with say 250, 500 or 1000 and only then upload the next one. You want them all to receive the same attention the autoplay brings and share it out between them ;)

You could but for the sake of people viewing them I wouldn't. I have noticed when I have done that the second last one always gets less attention.
