A few questions about having other channels partnered.

If my friend has a channel, and I want to have it partnered under my name can I do that?

I ask because we are partnering up for videos. At first we were going to put "his" videos up on my channel, but then I thought of having his own channel, but partnered under my name. He has a channel, could he simply hand it over to me?

Anyone get what I mean, and can I even do this?

It's what I was going to do first, but then I thought it might be something someone else in the future might wonder as well. :p

Perhaps I'll have to contact him and come back here with the answer. lol

As long as he gives you the consent to sign up for partnership, and he understands legally all money goes to you (In case you end up hating eachother), then it should be fine, as you legally have been given commercial rights to his products, which you will now be a part of.

You may wanna get it in writing though :p

Oh yeah, and If your using your name, his taxes will come out of your SSN you give em ;)
Cool thanks, a contract is already in the process. He owns the channel is we split up, while we partner he gets a percentage, I get another, blah blah...

Good idea. You may want to get that sorted by a Lawyer, because if you just write it down and sign it it isn't legally binding and won't stand for much if an argument breaks out.

In the US, private and personal contracts that are written an signed are taken as legally binding.HOWEVER, I agree, a lawyer could tell you exactly how to keep you guys safe.

Link to a US lawfirm.
