2D Cartoons Integrated Onto Live Footage - A Cinematic PSA

I created a PSA for my college about the dangers of Phishing Emails where I integrated 2D cartoons onto live footage. I created the cartoons in Illustrator and brought them into After Effects for rigging and animation. From there I had to put in shadows and reflections. Overall I think they turned out pretty cool for what the video needed! :)

What are your thoughts on how I integrated the cartoons in the footage? :)

this is neat! did you also do the camera work and all the rest of the editing? This was really entertaining, i'm interested in how long this took and how the rest was made :)

Actually I did everything but act and voice act! :) It took me about 6 months from start to finish(mainly because I had to get approvals from the university once I reached different stages of production for approval) The actor did the voices for the cartoons. I just had him read the lines for the cartoons and then in post I speed ramped the voices and received the final cartoon voices. The audio side only took me about a week, but animating took me the longest. The desktop animations I created by creating a "Windows 8" desktop in Photoshop and then bringing them in After Effects for animation. The backgrounds the cartoons are on I actually had to re-create/alter because the original shot had elements in it that I did not like. Overall there was a lot of work that went into this video :p
