Okay, so heres my story. I have been on Youtube for 3 Years and I have been stuck, quite literally on 5k subs for 2 of those years! I need a huge push to get to my ultimate goal of 10,000 and I'm really not sure how to get passed this barrier!?

Welcome to the forums! First of all, this is a great first step; reaching out out to other YouTubers for tips and advice. It means you're being proactive. After taking a look at your channel, I will give you my thoughts (and please feel free to take them with a grain of salt, as these are just my humble opinions). Your voice is beautiful and you seem really talented, so I imagine that with a few simple tweaks, you could really start seeing some improvements.

1) My first thought when I landed on your page was that it was a little plain. I imagine you're more of a minimalist kind of person (and I can totally relate to that, because I am too). However, especially online, you unfortunately have to let that go a little bit. That doesn't mean you have to have flashing rainbows everywhere, but I would definitely redo your channel with some more color. Same thing for the thumbnails. The black and white pictures, while they may be artsy, are going to be hard to catch people's eye in the sidebar. Again, YouTube is a very visual website (you are there to watch videos after all) so just try to keep that in mind. Even something simple like adding a border around your thumbnails (something PointlessBlog does) can help catch peoples eye. You should always be thinking about these little things. Even down to your "set" (instead of singing in front of a plain white wall, could you do something to make it more visually pleasing? Add some pictures? Film outside? Film in another room with furniture? etc.)

2) You seem to do covers of very saturated songs and artists. Meaning, there are literally thousands of One Direction, Call Me Maybe and Ed Sheeran covers... and while it still may be a good idea to cover those because lots of people a searching them (and I'm not suggesting you stop), it is much harder to get noticed. I would also try experimenting with doing some covers by some of your favorite smaller bands or singers. That way you can be a big fish in a little pond, as opposed to the other way around. There's not as much competition and there's a better chance you could be the number one spot for a less "mainstream" song, where as the number one spot for a huge popular song is almost always going to go to a top YouTuber.

3) Engage more! I just looked at a random selection of videos and didn't notice you responding to any compliments. People love Christina Grimmie because they feel like she's their friend, but it's hard to have a friendship with someone who doesn't talk back to you :D I would really encourage you to try and respond to comments, take requests, ask questions, etc.. People LOVE that kind of stuff and it really makes them feel closer to you and become not just a viewer, but a fan.

Anyway, this was a huge novel of my thoughts, but hopefully it at least gives you some ideas to think about (even if you don't agree with everything. And that's fine too!) The most important thing is to just keep making videos and enjoy it. Good luck!
